In legacy orchestration paradigms, system cohesion was evaluated using localized, scalar arithmetic—averaging CPU utilization or aggregating HTTP fault rates. In a continuous, non-monotonic reasoning swarm, these metrics are epistemic noise. They fail to capture the geometric shape of the causal execution space.

The Governance Plane (coreason-ecosystem) discards scalar evaluation in favor of Topological Data Analysis (TDA).

By ingesting the continuous Server-Sent Events (SSE) telemetry emitted by the Kinetic Plane, the orchestrator projects the state of the swarm into a high-dimensional simplicial complex. Through Persistent Homology, the ecosystem calculates foundational Betti numbers to guarantee structural stability:
